Carrot Orange Juice

Recipe: Carrot Orange Juice

This bright orange juice is packed with nutrition. Oranges provide vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that may protect against premature aging. Carrots are a great source of beta-carotene, which may also help keep skin smooth and wrinkle-free. Plus, beta-carotene is important for eye health and scalp health.

This juice is sweet and citrusy with a touch of spiciness from the ginger and earthiness from the turmeric.

Ingredients:

3 large carrots, chopped
2 oranges, peeled
1 inch ginger (about 1 tablespoon chopped)
1 inch turmeric (about 1 tablespoon chopped or 1 teaspoon dried turmeric)
1⁄4 cup water, plus more as needed to blend
Ice

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding water as needed. Place a nut milk bag or a piece of cheesecloth over a bowl and pour the contents from the blender into the bag. Squeeze the bag until all of the juice has been removed and only the pulp remains. Discard the pulp and pour the juice over ice. Alternatively, if you have a juicer, feed all of the ingredients through the juicer and serve the juice over ice.
