Green Lemonade Juice

Recipe: Green Lemonade Juice

Even if you don’t have a juicer, you can still make your own juice at home using this simple method. This juice is crisp, cooling, tart, minty, and just sweet enough. The flavor is reminiscent of lemonade and it has a vibrant green color. It is full of anti-aging vitamin C from the lemon, apples, and kale. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that boasts many beauty benefits, from stimulating collagen synthesis to maintaining healthy hair and teeth. Kale also delivers a healthy dose of beta-carotene, an important skin nutrient.

Ingredients:

1 large lemon, peeled
3 sweet apples, cored and chopped into large chunks
1 cup kale, de-stemmed
1⁄2 cup fresh mint
1⁄4 cup water, plus more as needed to blend
Ice

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding water as needed to blend. Place a nut milk bag or a piece of cheesecloth over a bowl and pour the contents from the blender into the bag. Squeeze the bag until all of the juice has been removed and only the pulp remains. Discard the pulp and pour the juice over ice. Alternatively, if you have a juicer, feed all of the ingredients through the juicer and serve the juice over ice.
