Recipe: Anti-Inflammatory Golden Milk

This golden-colored drink tastes as luxurious as it looks! Warming winter spices taste delicious when cooked in creamy milk and are loaded with health benefits. Turmeric has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and black pepper helps boost these properties by aiding in turmeric absorption.

Ginger has antimicrobial properties which may help protect against gum infections and keep your teeth sparkling. Ginger also has anti-inflammatory properties and can also help with nausea.



2 cups unsweetened soy milk (or milk of choice)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1⁄4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
Pinch of black pepper


In a small pot, heat milk over medium-high heat until it starts to steam. Lower heat to low and whisk in maple syrup, vanilla, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper. Remove from heat and pour into two mugs.
