Thanksgiving Tofu Steaks

Recipe: Thanksgiving Tofu Steaks

Thanksgiving is all about the turkey, so it can be difficult for vegetarians to find a satisfying main course for the meal. These savory tofu steaks are incredibly simple to make so you can spend more time making other parts of the meal.

Tofu is a great source of protein, an important beauty nutrient for healthy hair and smooth skin. It is also high in calcium, which helps keep teeth strong and sparkling.

Ingredients:

  • 2 16 oz packages super firm tofu, sliced into slabs
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a small bowl, combine garlic, soy sauce, wine, maple syrup, and rosemary. Place the tofu slabs in a large shallow baking dish in one layer and pour the marinade over the tofu so every piece is fully coated.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the liquid has evaporated and the tofu is browned and crispy.
